Paradise Valley
Paradise Valley is 30 minutes by bus from Agadir city center, and we must admit that the place is aptly named.
We arrive at the entrance of the valley, the reliefs of the place offer us a variety of challenges: strenuous climbs, difficult descents, but also some beautiful walks under the heavy shadows of palm trees that come from I don’t know where to save you from the long walks under the hot sun of Agadir (do not forget your sunscreen if you do not want to have a sunburn like mine: p). On the way, we have to cross several streams. It also contains some Moroccan restaurants. Some offer chairs and a table in the middle of the stream, it is very original as a place for lunch. Others have covered benches carpet as chairs and small tables for lunch, it’s a Moroccan restaurant, then this can be used to take a nap after enjoying the most succulent tajines that can exist. So if you go through one of these restaurants, do not hesitate to linger, you will not regret it!
The more we advance, the more beautiful landscapes are shown to us: a pool of water there, a source of water here … and not forget the fauna and flora: the wildflowers of all colors are everywhere, and dogs of all breeds are also there -__- But you will surely marvel at these kinds of blue and red fireflies roam goshawks streams. I wanted to capture a photo of them, but majestic and light as they are, they always escaped me … Maybe you’ll be luckier next time. After 45 minutes of walking, we arrive at our destination … and immediately we forget fatigue, sweat, heat and sunburn in front of what offers the Valley: a pool of water larger than an Olympic swimming pool (but deeper) and blue-green surrounded by rocky cliffs from which jump the boldest swimmers. And we must admit that we found a lot of them there. So even if you do not swim, you will be well entertained by the spectacle of every person who gives himself the challenge of jumping into the water from a height which may exceed the ten or twelve meters, and you will even be swept away by the whole crowd of supporters that encourage, with their shouts and applauses, each diver …
And it is with regret that we left this almost festive atmosphere of the Paradise Valley to take the bus that goes to the city center.
